Larry Blythe Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 22, 2024.
Larry Steven Blythe, 72, of Salt Lake City returned to his father in heaven on March 13th following a long illness. He goes to rest in peace with his parents, brother Joe, sister Barbara, and brother in law Julian. Larry was born on April 20th, 1951 to Gurne and Melva Blythe in Salt Lake City. He graduated from Salt Lake's West High School in 1969 and later attended Trade Tech where he studied Carpentry.

Larry had been previously married to Cricket, Pam Pollock, and lived the rest of his life with his current wife, Stephanie Bowers. He is survived by his sister Beth Anne Ulibarri, sister in law Jackie Nielson, and brother in law Dale Nelson, along with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Although Larry endured many hardships in his life, he lived it with humility, grace, and a sense of humor. Larry will be remembered for his kindness and compassion, beauty inside and out, and his keen mind. He loved music and would play his guitar and sing with his nieces and nephews. He also loved to create with his hands and built many beautiful items from wood.

He was always a light to his family, who wished nothing more than to protect and adore him in the face of a world that often couldn't. Taking the time to get to know him for who he truly was is a gift that not everyone could accept, but those who did were made all the better for having known him. He will be missed, but heaven will be a happier place to have him.
