Larry E. King

Larry E. King, age 66, of Lexington, Ala., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at UAB Hospital after an extended illness. He was a native of Lauderdale County, Ala., an Operator at Consolidated Aluminum and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at 1 p.m. He will lie in state from noon to 1 p.m. at the church. Jackie Kay, Jason Vinson and Stanley Hargett will be officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Loretto Memorial Chapel.

Survivors are

wife, Shirley Chambers King, Lexington, Ala.;

one son, Larry Glenn King and wife, Nancy, Lexington, Ala.;

one daughter, Libby Head and husband, Eddie, Lexington, Ala.;

one brother, Ronnie King and wife Betty Jo, Lexington, Ala.;

two grandchildren, Dusty King and Baylee Head.

Preceded in death by

parents, Arnold "Bud" and Elizabeth Lash King;

brother, Harlon Glenn King.

Pallbearers will be Sammy Lash, Ricky Richardson, Kerry Lash, Rex Gist,

Colt Balentine, Jeffrey Burbank andHarlon Lash

Loretto Memorial Chapel

is in charge of all arrangements.

Our heart goes out to Shirley and the entire family today as you put your loved one to rest. Larry was a good man and suffered for a long time, so we hope you find peace in knowing that Jesus is now in charge and he will always be near you. Horace and Virginia McGee
