Larry Pennington, widower of Debra (Babbitt) Pennington, father of Sarah, Larry (Shannon), and Aaron (Stacey) Pennington, grandfather of Ethan, Bryce, and Abby Kay Pennington; sister of Sally Pennington, passed away Saturday morning, March 25, 2023, after a short illness.
Larry was a character who had a passion for life. He was preceded in death by his amazing wife, Deb, who he missed going for long car rides and out to dinner with. Larry was a lifetime member of the Muskegon Motorcycle Club and continued going for trail rides on the Blue Lake trails. He also enjoyed Wednesday night yacht club races on Muskegon Lake and the time spent with friends celebrating wins and losses.
Larry's children and grandchildren will miss going for dirt bike rides, Jeep rides, boat rides, breakfasts, and learning so many life lessons from this great man. Larry was an excellent conversationalist and was proud of his family and the business that he built, Wildwood Marine. We loved our Mom and Dad so much, and we're grateful for the time we had with them.
Visitation will take place from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, March 30, 2023, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, 413 South Mears Avenue, Whitehall, Michigan 49461.
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.

First word that comes to mind when I think of Larry is "genuine". He was straight and true about all things in life and if you could call him 'friend', you are blessed. Rest easy, Larry, you will be missed by many. My condolences to his family and friends.

Larry was my best friend in high school. He was " the Fonz" before there was a " Fonz" with his 650 Triumph. We used to terrorize the Sandy trails around Muskegon , he, with his twin 100 Yamaha, myself on my 120 Kawasaki... R.I.P. old friend...

I'm certainly going to miss chatting with "Uncle" Larry about the old times when I was just a kid. When Larry was around it was always a fun adventure! My condolences to the family, but rest assured he left a lot of amazing memories from a life well lived.
