Lawrence LIBMAN Obituary
Peacefully, on Saturday, January 2, 2016. Beloved husband of Barbara Gallay for thirty-five years. Loving and devoted father and father-in-law of Cheryl and Chuck, Stephen and Shari, Charlotte and Howard, Jeffrey and Aki Bell, and Monica Bell. Cherished 'Poppi' of Jill, Michelle, Michael, Daniel, Brandon, Emily, Samantha, and Olivia. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Robert (Bobby) and Bleema Libman, and brother-in-law of Ronald (Ronnie) and Barbara Gallay, and Sheila Hannibal. Son of the late Abraham and the late Blanche Libman. Larry will be sadly missed by Abie Haim, his nieces, nephews, family, many friends in Florida and Montreal, and all of those whose lives he touched. The family would like to thank Dr. Golda Tradounsky, and the nurses and staff at Mount Sinai Hospital as well as the staff of CLSC René-Cassin for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Wednesday, January 6 at 11:00 a.m. Burial at the Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beacosnfield. Shiva at 6565 rue Collins (reception room), C.S.L., from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday. Donations in his memory may be made to the "Lawrence Libman Endowment Fund" c/o the Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom Congregation, (514) 937-3575, or to the charity of your choice.
