Lawrence Rousseau Obituary

Lawrence Rousseau 1948-2007 SPRINGFIELD - Lawrence "Butch" K. Rousseau, 59, died Sunday, March 18 after a long illness at the Lahey Clinic with his family by his side. He was born in Springfield March 10, 1948 to Eugene and Catherine (Kilmer) Rousseau and graduated from Springfield Technical Community College. Butch co-founded Rousseau Brothers, Inc. of Springfield and retired from there in 1994. He was also a City of Springfield Police Officer from 1973-1989. Butch leaves his brother, Richard "Skip" Rousseau and his wife Rosemary of West Springfield, his sisters, Mary Fournier of Huntington Beach, CA and Karen Stroh of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 9 from Tazzini Funeral Home with a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 10. Burial will follow in Springfield Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday evening from 4-7. Contributions in Lawrence's name may be made to the Sacred Heart Renovation Fund, 395 Chestnut St., Springfield, MA 01104 or the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St. Framingham, MA 01701.
