Leda Diane Wardroup Moore Diane passed away in her home at Alto, New Mexico on Friday, August 26, 2011. She was born on June 21, 1954 in Lubbock, Texas to Wallace C. and Evelyn Wardroup. Diane graduated from Monterey High School in 1972, attended Texas Tech and received a B.S. degree in Nursing from Texas Women's University in Denton. She was a Registered Nurse and was employed as a Home Health Nurse in the Ruidoso area. Diane married Steve Moore on October 2, 1977 in Lubbock. In addition to her husband, Steve, Diane is survived by her father; a brother, Dennis; two nieces, Emily and Natalie Wardroup of Lubbock; a nephew, Michael Wardroup of Houston; a great niece, Olivia; and great-nephew, Ian, both of Lubbock; mother-in-law, Marge Moore of Virginia; and many dear, close friends. Diane was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn and a sister Dana Lea Wardroup. A memorial service will be conducted at Shepherd King Lutheran Church in Lubbock on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 1 p.m. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of LaGrange Funeral Home of Ruidoso. It is suggested memorials be made to the Humane Society of Lincoln County, New Mexico.

I am still in disbelief of Diane's untimely passing. I will miss my dear friend, but take comfort in the most wonderful memories of our friendship.
