Lee was my patient for many years and had become a good friend. My nurse and I always looked forward to his clinic visits. He had a cheerful, gentle nature and Melissa called him a "teddy bear". He will be missed.

This news was devastating (to say the least). Obviously it was unexpected and I am in total shock. Lee was my best friend during my college years and is such a large part of who I am as a person. Lee knew how to make me laugh like no other. He taught me so much and opened my eyes to many, many good things in life. I am going to miss him sooo much. Thank you for EVERYTHING Lee---I hope you and your mother are having good laughs up in heaven! :)

Dear Ed, Syd, Marc, Erin and Family,
This is truely one of those very difficult times when, there is really nothing I can say to make things any better. I don't know of the specific circumstances but, I'm sure that Lee's passing was unexpected. My heart goes out to you all. I'm very sorry for your loss. I know Lee will be greatly missed. My wish is that your faith and your friends can support you in this very troubling time. You are all in my thoughts.
Warmest Regards,

Berris family - So sorry for your loss. I cannot begin to understand your pain. Lee was always so welcoming and friendly. I'm honored to have known him, if even just a little. Only wish he could have been with us longer to bring more sunshine to those whose paths he crossed.

Lee was gentle, kind, sweet, funny and would help anybody with anything. He was our son in law, Zachs, step brother, best friend and best man at his wedding. He was an attentive and playful uncle to Zach and Jamies children, Marley and Hunter. We would spend time with Lee when he traveled thru St. Louis on his way to deliver his goods. We always had fun. He was an origional--we will miss him!!! Jo and Ken

Marc,
My sincere sympathies to you and your family, your father and step-mother and your sister Jennifer and her family. I only vaguely remember your brother, but he seems to have made an indelible impression on the lives of so many. I hope that your sadness will be tempered by the many happy memories that you have and by esteem in which Lee is held by all who knew him.

Lee,
Looking for some way to begin this, I closed my eyes and heard your laugh… Then I looked up to heaven through tears to see you looking down at me, and with a smile that only you had, heard your voice ask, “What's all the fuss about?”
Well Lee, it's because we are all going to miss you terribly. I'M going to miss you terribly. You and I quickly became very good friends and I always got excited when Erin would tell me you were spending time with us, or staying at our house. I told you every time you left that our door was always open to you and for you to hurry back.
My heart also aches for Erin and our children. I can't even begin to tell you how much you meant to her and how much she will miss you. As far as Cameron and Gray go, it really grabs at me that they lost the greatest Uncle a little boy could hope for! And that Charlotte never got a chance to know you.
I am glad, however, that I do have such great memories to fall back on when I think of you. Memories of your smile, your spirit and how you treated those close to you. You truly were an example of how to be kind and be in the moment. I hope that we all can take some guidance from you and live our lives a little more slowly and love a little more deeply.
God bless you Lee.
PS: (a couple paragraphs from the poem A million Times)
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still.
In our hearts you hold a place,
No one else will ever fill.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
But you didn't go alone.
Part of us went with you.
The day God took you home.

Berris Family, We're so sorry to hear of Lees passing. All our hearts and compassion goes out for your loss. As a child I remember some times I had with Lee one incident in particular at (Kenny's Market) oh our parents were mad as hornets and I've never forgotten and still laugh about it after all this time. I know there's a place in heaven for Lee and he'll be welcomed with open loving arms.
Ed, Syd, Marc and Berris family again we're truly sorry for your loss.

Lee will be greatly missed by our family. We knew Lee from Mankato and then ironcially we moved to Fargo around the time that he started working here. Lee drove us to the hospital for the birth of our 3rd child. Our four children always ask, "When are we going to see Uncle Lee again?" Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family for a great man who will truly be missed.

Losing you hurts more than I could have imagined. I find comfort in my belief that we'll be together again someday. Not only were you my loving brother but you were one of my closest friends. You were the person I would call when I wanted to talk. You were honestly the most self less and caring person I knew. Your number one priority was family and close friends. You've impacted so many lives in your short life and that says so much about your character. Cameron idolized you and would get so excited to learn that uncle Lee was sleeping over. I know that Grayson and baby Charlotte would have felt the same throughout the years. You were a good friend to Todd and the best brother I could have asked for. We'll carry you in our hearts every day. I love you Bro.
