Lenora Jeanie "Jeanie" Singer

Lenora Jeanie Singer (Bennett), aged 66, passed away on January 19, 2024, in Toledo, Ohio surrounded by her closest family. Born on March 30, 1957, in Toledo, she was born to Roosevelt Bennett, Sr. and Reatha Ann Bennett (Houge). Known affectionately as Jeanie, she lived a life characterized by her unwavering love for her family and her faith.

Jeanie was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she found great comfort and community. Her commitment to her faith was evident in her daily life and interactions with those around her. She found pleasure in the beauty of her many plants, her favorite music, and the nostalgia of classic Western films.

She is survived by her loving sons, Dewan R. Bennett (Lisa) and Richard T. Singer (Kayla); her brothers, Arthur, Ralph, and Gregory Bennett; her beloved grandchildren Kiara, Dewan, Davion, and Joesiah Bennett, and Jada, David, Arianna, Aaliyah, and Amaya Singer; as well as her two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her bright presence dearly. Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Roosevelt Bennett, Jr.

The family extends an invitation to join them in a service of remembrance and celebration of Jeanie's life to be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 26th, 2024, at The Trilby Shelter Hall, 3125 Shawnee Rd, Toledo, OH 43613. The service will be a time to honor her memory and to give thanks for the blessing of her life. C. Brown Funeral Home of Toledo, Ohio, is handling the cremation as Jeanie wanted.

Jeanie's legacy is one of love, kindness, and great strength. Her memory will be treasured in the hearts of those who knew her, and her spirit will continue to inspire those she has left behind. May she rest in eternal peace.
