Leo James Herlihy Jr.

Leo James Herlihy Jr. 65, of Duxbury, died Wednesday January 20th, 2021 at Beth Israel Plymouth Hospital surrounded by family and loved ones. Born in Schenectady, NY on July 31, 1955, he was the son of the late Leo J. Herlihy Sr. and Elizabeth J. (McCorry) Herlihy. He was raised and educated in Stoneham and was a graduate of Stoneham High School, class of 1973. Leo is survived by his loving partner, Karin Recupero. In addition, he leaves behind four daughters and their spouses: Caitlin and Richard Bishop of Peabody, Courtney and Adam Gauchman of Wrentham, Paige Herlihy of Derry, NH and Alison Herlihy and Dalton Hosken of Berwick, ME, his grandchildren: Callista & Jax Leo Bishop, Aviva James & Lenox Anne Gauchman, Lucca Herlihy, Daisy Bradshaw & Rhett Hosken, his brothers Paul Herlihy of Stoneham, Thomas Herlihy of Newburyport and Chris Herlihy of Stoneham. He was predeceased by his brother Brian Herlihy of Stoneham. A celebration of Leo's life will be held in private. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Leo's memory can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, JDRF, New England Chapter – Bay State Branch, 60 Walnut Street, Wellesley Hills, MA 02481. Arrangements are in the care of the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home in Stoneham.
