DEAR SYL AND FAMILY,
My regrets for the sudden loss of Uncle Bud. He was a well decorated man who always wore a smile. I can still remember in my younger days, the family reunions at your house in McSherrystown ...and almost taste the chicken corn soup made in that big black pot. I hope all of the memories you shared make you smile and all of his life's accomplishments make you proud. With sincere condolences.

Dear Mrs. Krichten and everyone of your wonderful children and many family members,
We are so saddened at the sudden loss of Mr.Krichten. He and your family have been a part of our extended family through Rick and Mirela since we became a family! We are so grateful we were able to share Gary's Eagle Ceremony together just 5 week ago. It was always evident how much love and pride Grandpa had for his loved ones. I remember how excited and proud everyone was at the award ceremony with Governor Rendell- the descriptives I heard made me feel how great it was for everyone in attendance. I remember how proud I was when I inquired of a fellow employee here @ Phila. Family Ct., who was active in the CWV, if he happened to know Leo Krichten. His eyes lit up and he went on and on about what a great guy their National Comandeer is. Of course I had to tell him that I was the proud Maid of Honor at the wedding of Richard! I always thought it a bonus that my best friend is married to a guy from my hometown neck of the woods (more or lesss) Pa Dutch for sure! I am so sorry for the sadness and heartache that you are going through. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Perhaps the best testimony to the goodness and Godliness of Leo Krichten is when you are gathered together- just take a look around and see and feel the conection of his love and care. You all have the legacy of so much good humour, wisdom, patience, faith, love, and common sense. We pray that you feeel the comfort of so many happy memories.
Our Love and Prayers,
Chris, Bill and Will Henry Leo

Sylvia and family: My deepest sympathy to you and your family upon the loss of your devoted husband and father. Leo was always a very dear friend to my late husband, Frank Muzika and I will always have fond memories of the dedication that he had to the Catholic War Veterans and Auxiliary. Members of Fr. Thomas J. Dunn Post 1669 of Uniontown always considered Leo as a good friend and he will sadly be missed by all. On behalf of the Catholic War Veterans USA I deeply regret the loss of my friend. Sincerely, Anna Rose Muzika, CWVA National President.

To the family,
I will always remember your dad at church in Vatican City.(McSherrystown) He would never pass me up without saying hello. That is the respect these veterans of WWII had. He knew I was Gene Wagners' boy. My sincere and heartfelt thanks go out to your family for sharing a part of your dads life with me. My thoughts are with you.
