LEONARD POLK Obituary
Age 68, of Mt. Lebanon, on Saturday, January 4, 2014. Beloved husband for 44 loving years to Helen; loving father of Joseph (Melissa) Polk, Peggy (Harry) Gaughan, Andrew (Antonella) Polk, and Michael (Julie) Polk; loving Pappy of Anthony, Ryan, Luciana, Christian, Emily, Nicolas, Henry, Kaitlyn, Kristina, Marco, and Logan. Leonard was one of nine children. He was the proud owner and president of Leonard F. Polk and CO., P.C. for 40 years. He was a kind, compassionate, and generous person to everyone that knew him. Friends welcome Monday and Tuesday 1-3 and 6-9 p.m. at WILLIAM SLATER II FUNERAL SERVICE, (412-563-2800), 1650 Greentree Rd., Scott Twp. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday 10 a.m. in St. Bernard Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Leonard's name to Center for Compassionate Care, 50 Moffett St., Pgh., PA 15243.

Peggy, Joe, Andy, Mikey and Helen, I am so sorry to hear about Len's passing. I have many fond memories of spending time at your home as a child watching football games, eating tons of snacks and hanging out with my best friend. To Helen and the family... I'm saddened to hear of Lenny's passing... I love spending time with all of the Polks, and I have such wonderful memories of all the big gatherings through the years! I remember surprising Len a few times during my Pittsburgh visits, just by showing up at his office and telling him he "owed" me a lunch, and he always took me out for lunch! Len was also one of my mom's favorites... I know they had some good years together on Liberty Avenue... he will be missed by many...
