(MNZM): Passionate conservationist – passed peacefully, February 24, 2024. Beloved daughter of the late Olga and Arthur Shand, loved sister and sister-in-law of Diana and Euan, and Ed and Jan. Loved aunt of Nicky, Caroline and Dan. Loving great-Aunt of Amalia and Hugh, Angus and Katie, Ollie and Jono. Inspiring Godmother of David, Ross, Libby, and Bethany. Special thanks to staff of Kaiapoi Lodge and Adriel House. Messages may be addressed to PO Box 2306, Christchurch 8140. In lieu of flowers donations to Forest & Bird would be appreciated, and may be made online at forestandbird.org.nz. A funeral service will be held in St Mary's Church, 41 Wilkin Street, Rotherham, on Tuesday, March 5, at 1.00pm, followed by refreshments at Culverden School. A Commemoration service for Lesley will be held in Christchurch at a later date, details to be advised.
