Dear Claudi and Family,
At times like this words cannot say the things we like them to. Nothing can fully erase the pain and sadness of parting. But you have to remember that we can not be separated from those we love. God leaves us with memories to hold and love that doesn't pass away. And in time, we realize that our loved one lives on...Not only in a home beyond the setting sun, but within our hearts.
I known Laci most of my life, we shared the love of Pincehely our birthplace. We are grateful that we enjoyed a very special friendship through difficult and happy times in Hungary, France, Canada, and the USA. We treasure those memories and keep Laci always in our hearts.
And we know he would say:
I'd like the memory of me
to be a happy one,
I'd like to leave an afterglow
of smiles, when life is done.
I'd like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times
and bright and sunny days.
I'd like the tears of those who grieve,
to dry before the sun
of happy memories that I leave
When life is done.
Isten Veled Laci.

Our friends Les and Claudette: We have been friends since 1980, a relatively short time in one's lifetime but closer confidents could not be found.
I have and I cherish a copy of the Morning Prayer penned by Les, it is now and will forever be my Morning Prayer, my thanks to you Les for making me a better person
Your buddy,

Dear Claudette and family;
Les and Claudette were our dearest friends. We shared so many interests and backgrounds. Whether golf at Riverside Golf Club or Bartlett Hills or Atlantis Golf Club, or dinner together in Florida, or our favorite Lawrys, or weekends together, or dinners anywhere, or a silent retreat at Jesuit Bellarmine Hall, or just sitting together exploring the wonders of the computer which Les mastered so well, being together with Les and Claudette was always a very special occasion. We say with love, pride and sorrow: LES SCHILLER WAS OUR DEAREST FRIEND.

If tears could build a stairway and memories were a lane,
I would walk right up to Heaven, to bring you home again.
My heart still aches in sadness, and secret tears will flow,
What is mean to me to lose you, No one will ever know.
The memories we shared will always be in my heart and I thank you for all the beautiful ways you touch my life.

If I would tell what my childhood friend, Laci, met to me I could not stop writing for a year. We grew up together and the friendship flourished through a lifetime.
We, the Tordai’s are forever grateful; to you and Claudi for opening your home to us when we came to Chicago. You were our pillar of strength which guided us through some difficult times.
Our memories we shared of our childhood in Pincehely and here in Chicago will always be in my heart, you will always be my forever friend.

Dear Keresztmami, Christine, Jerry, Peter, Pam and family,
Keresztapu was a vibrant, funny, strong and good man, who will be greatly missed. Because of him, and because of you, Keresztmami, my parents were given the opportunity of a lifetime to start their lives anew in Chicago. For that, I am eternally grateful. Sending all of my love to all of you during this difficult time. Nancy Tordai

A Friend is someone we turn to when our spirits need a lift. A friend is someone we treasure for our friendship is a gift. A friend is someone who fills our lives with beauty , joy and grace and makes the world we live in a better and happier place. A best friend is always there whether you need a pep talk, advise or even a shoulder to cry on. A best friend is always honest with you even though it may not be what you want to hear. Les was that kind of friend. He never stopped believing in me even in my despair. True friends are for life, until the end. I think this is not the end as Les will always be in our hearts for we were friends and the memories of our true friendship will last forever.
