I remember being very happy to be assigned to Mrs Shick's grade 6 class in 1980/81. She gave me one of the best memories of grade school; making warm fuzzies to share with the Golden Gems and hosting a tea for them. I am very sad to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. She will be missed and remembered by many.

I will always remember her easy-going smile. As the "baby" of Dad's siblings, she was always graceful with her humor.

I was so very sorry to hear the passing of this amazing woman. My Great Aunt Lil...I have so many happy memories of when she and Great Uncle Sid used to come to visit Grandma Roemer in Conquest, SK.
Time passes and unfortunately families don't always stay in touch the way they used to in the time of of grandparents and parents.
I realize Blaine and Gerry likely don't even remember me because I would have been very young the last time they were in Conquest. However, family is family and I know first hand how hard it is to lose your Mom -- no matter how great and long a life she enjoyed. Mom is Mom and I know you will miss her miserably.
Huge hugs to everyone and we will definitely try to make it to the Celebration of Life for Great Aunty Lil.

I was sad when I heard that Lilian had passed away. I had the opportunity to have taught in the same school with Lilian for a number of years. Her positive approach and kindness with everyone - students, staff and parents, was infections. She was a role model for all. I recall how she would extend a bear hug to everyone when they were down and sad. She will be greatly missed by all. Take care and rest in peace.

I am saddened by this loss and send my warmest thoughts to the Schick family. I was one of the fortunate children who was on the receiving end of Mrs. Schick's immeasurable patience and love. Although I have not seen her in decades, thoughts of her flow through my mind on a regular basis. Thirty years later I still eagerly hang the Christmas tree ornament that she gifted each of her students with and share the story of my favourite teacher with my daughters.

"There's honor in a well lived life-there's healing in remembering-there's hope in knowing love goes on forever."
Dear Lilian's family,
Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your beloved Lilian. She was a great role model of an educator and community member, always professional and giving her best to each student. Her positive attitude, wit, humor and zest for life reflected in the job she loved. And yes, she gave the best "warm fuzzies". May her legacy and your cherished memories nurture and sustain you in your journeys to hope, healing and peace.
God's Blessings and love
