Lillian M. (Seale) Farnsworth 77, of Franklin, died Saturday December 26, 2015 at the Milford Regional Medical Center following an illness. She was the beloved wife of Martin D. Farnsworth. Born January 25, 1938 in Boston, a daughter of the late William F. and Helena M. (Heron) Seale, she was a former resident of Natick, before coming to Franklin over 30 years ago. She was raised and educated in the Dorchester and Jamaica Plain sections of Boston. Lillian was one of the first women to have worked on the assembly line and in the paint department for the General Motors Corporation at their former Framingham plant. She retired in 1989, when the plant closed. Lillian was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She treasured spending time with her family, reading, & crossword puzzles. She was a member of the Franklin Democratic Town committee and would often help with local elections, was a member of the United Auto Workers Union, and was a former Mayor of Black Lake, Michigan. In addition to her husband of 60 years, she is survived by a son Thomas J. Farnsworth and his wife Bonnie of Leominster, a daughter Karen L. Dansereau and her husband Walter of Derby, Kansas 2 sisters, Helena M. McQuade of Kittery, Maine, Louise E. Williams of Beverly Farms, MA a daughter in law Paula A. Farnsworth-Bertone of Franklin, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. She was the mother of the late Duane C. Farnsworth and sister of the late Ann J. Smits and William F. Seale III. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service Thurs. Dec. 31st, at 10AM in the Franklin Federated Church 171 Main St. Franklin. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Medway. Calling hours are Wed. from 5-8PM at the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. FRANKLIN. HI Lillian
I miss and think of you a lot, my fondest memory is how close and loving you were to my four boys as they grew into adulthood, but most of all the joy on your face when my dog Brady would come to stay with you every day while I was at work, He loved you sooooo much Especially if you were getting dinner ready,omg he knew a treat was coming lol.
