HOOVER LINDA (LIVELY)
Age 64, of Fox Chapel, passed away Monday, June 24, 2013. Beloved wife of Dr. Alan D. Hoover; loving mother of Melissa (Scott) Troutman and Bradley S. Hoover; cherished GaGa to Sam, Luke and Toby; daughter of the late John R. and Janet Lively, Sr.; sister of the late John R. Lively, Jr. and devoted teacher to many. Linda graduated from Penn St. University and received her Master's Degree from Duquesne University. She taught at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit and Fox Chapel Country Day School. Friends received Thursday, 6-9 p.m. at the WEDDELL - AJAK FUNERAL HOME, 100 Center Ave. Aspinwall. A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Fox Chapel Presbyterian Church, 384 Fox Chapel Rd. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Arthritis Foundation, 790 Holiday Dr., Foster Plaza #11, Pgh., PA 15215.

Dear family of Linda,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Linda. We were classmates at Ellis and later she tutored my son....in fact , I credit her with all of his successes both in school and in life. She was a wonderful and caring woman. The world is a better place for having her in it. She touched the lives of so many in such positive ways. My thoughts and prayers go out to all.

As long time patients of yours we knew of her earlier illness and were glad to learn that she recovered. Death always comes to soon, and she was much too young, but we humans have no say in the matter

I will never forget a special person like Linda. She tutored my son and gave him the gift of confidence and a sense of humor. I would purposely pick him up early so I could spend time with her too. I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I was the secretary at Mercy Hospital Employee Health for many years. You and Linda bought the EH staff a lovely Christmas tree one year. I still have that tree that grew from 2 ft to about 6 ft. I always remember you when I care for that tree. I will pray for you and your family, as well as the soul of your wife.
