Linda Jones Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 13, 2025.
Linda Jones, 71, passed away on February 10, 2025, in Garner, North Carolina. She was born on August 3, 1953, in Dunn, North Carolina.

Linda was deeply loved by her friends and family. She had an infectious kindness that touched all who knew her. Her generosity and warmth were evident in the way she cared for those around her, always offering a listening ear and a helping hand.

She found joy in simple pleasures, especially yard sales and shopping, where she delighted in the discovery of hidden treasures. Her love for decorating brought beauty into her home and the homes of those she cared about. Above all, Linda had a special place in her heart for animals, treating them as cherished members of the family.

She is survived by many loving family members, including Katie Brennan; Wayland Jones; Regina Fowler Smith and Ronnie Smith; Veronica Fowler Stewart and Kenneth Stewart; Kenny Stewart and Jennifer Stewart; Terry Fowler and Carolyn Fowler; Heather Markuson; Amanda Fowler Burns; Joanna Jones Mason; Stuart Mason; Charlie, Hayes, and Holt Mason; Katie Jones Kimrey; Trey Kimrey; and Caroline and Baxter Kimrey.

Linda was preceded in death by Carolyn Thornton, James T. Fowler, and Virginia West Fowler.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May her kindness and love continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have been part of her life. Memorial service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to your local Humane Society or animal shelter, in honor of her love of all creatures.

Linda is my cousin and we were very close as kids and teenagers. If I wasn't at her house in the summer, she (and sometimes Regina too) was at mine. We had a lot of really good times that I cherish. But as we often do, life got in the way and we lost touch with each other. Linda was such a sweet soul always. I know that Heaven is a lot sweeter today.
