Linda Zack Ivery Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 17, 2023.
Linda Zack Ivery, 73, of Chicago, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

Born in Chicago, IL on October 21, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Joyce (Miller) Moehn. Linda grew up on the north side of Chicago. St. Mary's of the Lake was her parish. She was educated in the schools of Chicago and graduated from Northwestern University.

Her professional passion was property management. She owned her own company for many years and finished her career working for Sudler & Co.

Her last property was Harbor House, which she truly loved. She played an active role on her condominium board and certainly valued her many awesome neighbors.

Linda loved animals of all sorts but her dogs were her true "fur babies." She had a series of Chinese Shar Peis and loved each one dearly. If you knew Linda, you surely knew her dog...Her current little princess, Lucy, has gone to live with Linda's son, Randy and will continue to be loved.

Lin was an amazing personality, fiercely loyal - with a laugh that could light up a room. Her laugh would make you laugh...that will be missed. She was outspoken with strong opinions, but you knew, if you were in her "circle" she ALWAYS had your back. She valued her close friends and carried those relationships through the course of her life.

She had been an excellent tennis player for many years and loved salsa dancing -continuing at home even during her illness. If there is a dance floor where she is now, Linda will be out there dancing.

Linda is survived by her one son Randy Willis Jr., who was the light of Linda's life.

His humor and positivity were appreciated in so many aspects of her life.

Randy and his special lady, Heather Cruz, shared so many wonderful family moments with Linda that she treasured.

She will also be greatly missed by her sister, Deborah Jacquart - who was her travel partner for many adventures. Linda is also survived by her niece, Dana Jacquart and her sons, Logan and Gabriel. All her cousins, who were such an important part of her family life throughout the years, also share deeply in this loss.

A funeral mass is being held at St. Mary's of the Lake, 4220 N Sheridan Rd., Chicago on Saturday, February 18th at 11am and will livestream at https:/www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGG_v4a5P6w

Linda was very special to me. Although she was my sister“s best friend, we developed a very close relationship over the years. She spent many a Christmas Eve a with us. The best vacation I ever had was with Linda. We talked till the wee hours of the morning and laughed so much. She was such good company.
I will miss her.
