Lisa Barbour Obituary

Published by Daily Gate from Apr. 25 to Apr. 26, 2023.
Lisa Gail (Leggett) Barbour, 54, passed away peacefully at home in Elizabeth, Colorado, on April 20, 2023, with family by her side.

She was born March 11, 1969, to John Leggett and Carolyn Harryman in Ft. Worth, Texas. Lisa was raised in Keokuk by Mike and Carolyn Harryman.

She married Dana Barbour on Aug. 1, 1990.

Lisa worked for Lens Crafters for 25 years, where she and many other volunteers traveled the world on One Sight Missions to help the underprivileged to see for the first time. Lisa's passion – always – was to help others.

She is survived by her loving husband Dana; son Brandon (Teresa) of Durango, Colorado; parents, Mike and Carolyn Harryman of Keokuk; sisters, Angie Cash of Belton, Texas, and Michelle (Sonny) Huffman of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; brothers, Steve Leggett of Keokuk, and Cory (Amy) Harryman of Cummings, Iowa; as well as two nieces, seven nephews, four great-nieces, four great-nephews, 11 cousins, one loving aunt Carolyn Leggett, her loyal companions and pets, Bene and Cooper, and countless friends across the world.

She was preceded in death by John Leggett and her grandparents.

At Lisa's request, funeral services will not be held. There will be a celebration of life on June 10 at her parent's home in Keokuk.

In lieu of flowers, donations to cover Lisa's end-of-life expenses are welcome online at posthope.org or by contacting the family.
