North Brookfield - Lloyd M. Tillotson, 77, of Oakham Rd., died Saturday, December 1, 2012 in Harrington Hospital.
He leaves two sons, William and Matthew Tillotson of North Brookfield; three daughters, Debra Boulanger of North Brookfield, Barbara Dehaven and her husband Earl of Missouri and Diane McKay and her husband Earl, Jr. of North Brookfield; two brothers, Robert Tillotson of Wilmington and Howard Tillotson and his wife Marcia of Spencer; two sisters, Audrey Bishop of Holden and Lois Dancerau and her husband Roland of Vernon, VT; 9 grandchildren including Lloyd Dupre who was raised by Carole and Lloyd as a son since he was three years old; 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, Carol J. (Fairbrothers) Tillotson in 2009 and a son Steven Tillotson in 1992. He was born in Lowell, VT son of the late Harold and Bernice (Paronto) Tillotson and has lived in North Brookfield his whole life.
Lloyd worked 14 years at the former Aztec Asbestos Co. in North Brookfield and then as a field supervisor for two years for Worcester Labor Co. and then as a production supervisor for Worcester Community Action Council before retiring in 1983.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church in North Brookfield and taught Bible studies, loved hunting and fishing and served his Country in the United States Army.
A Funeral Service for Lloyd will be held Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 10:00 AM in the Varnum Funeral Home, Inc., 43 East Main St., West Brookfield. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, December 5, from 6 to 8 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Congregational Church, 144 North Main St., North Brookfield, MA 01535.
