She was born in Plainfield, N.J., on March 29, 1907, the daughter of the late Samuel W. Fish of Noank and Harriet (Myers) Fish of Providence, R.I.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles; a brother, Warren; daughter, Barbara; and a grandson, Robert Patterson.
She leaves her daughter, Mrs. Franklin Patterson of Mystic; five grandchildren, Roberta Richards, Joan Jackson, William Patterson Jr., Lisa Gibson, and Andrew Patterson; and ten great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting-making braided rugs, and playing the piano. She was the organist and singer at St. Mary's Church, Groton and played and sang at weddings and other special occasions. She also was a member of The Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra Auxiliary, The Norwich Hospital Auxiliary, and the Daughters of Isabella.
A service will be held Friday, Nov. 9, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Mystic Funeral Home, Route 1, Mystic. Burial will follow at the Noank Valley Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beacon Hospice Inc., 12 Roosevelt Ave., Mystic CT. 06355.
