Louis Tucker, Sr. Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 6 to Feb. 8, 2023.
Louis A Tucker Sr, "Talk To Tucker", born on April 26, 1941, left us to be with the Lord on February 3, 2023. He was surrounded by his family at home. Louis resided with his loving wife Gail Tucker, of 46 years, in North Kingstown, RI. Louis was the youngest of 5 children. He was predeceased by his sisters Ruth and Joan, and by his brothers Joseph and Jimmy. He was born and raised in South County, Rhode Island. Louis raised a large loving family. He is survived by his children Brad Tucker, Melissa Proulx, Scott Oatley, Louis Tucker, Jr, Joy Mulvaney, Michael Tucker, and Ronnie Oatley. He was predeceased by Cheryl Marie and Karen Oatley. There are many grandchildren and great grandchildren that were his pride and joy.

Louis had many loves, first was family. He loved cars, horses, his grand dogs, music, dancing, people, and Dunkin coffee. He created an amazing life for his family. He came from poverty and created his own American dream. At the age of 7 he was selling potatoes on the side of the road to help provide for his family. He went from this to being the Number 1 salesman in the US in 1969 for the American Motors Corp. He was in the automotive industry from a teenager until just recently, when he finally retired. He and Gail also sold real estate in RI for over 20 years. They sold millions. They were known as "Talk To Tucker". Louis was always the "closer" and always the best salesman. He could read people and he truly cared. He could relate to just about anyone he met.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life for Louis in July. Please reach out to Gail, Scott, or Melissa for details. You can also write Gail Tucker at 125 Brookside Dr, North Kingstown, Ri 02852. All that knew him are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, Gail is asking that a donation be made to "The Jimmy Fund" in Lou's name. When Gail's daughter Karen was fighting childhood cancer, the Jimmy Fund helped their family tremendously. Helping other families would be a blessing and Lou would love that.

Lou and Helen (my wife), now both in Heaven just loved playing Canasta. They have probably already taught the Angels how to play!
