Mrs. Hooper, Dwight, and the entire Hooper family and Funeral Home Staff,
My utmost consdolences to you at this time of loss. Not too long ago, we felt the loss of our friend and leader, John Hiers. Mr. Hiers had the utmost respect for Mr. Hooper and his legacy of serving families with comapssion and excellence. Over the years, I can remember many times hearing Mr. Hiers say, “Let’s call Lowell Hooper and see what he thinks” when we were considering a change or challenge of some kind. I’m sure that already you are overwhelmed with words of kindness and reflection from the community and funeral industry, due to the multitude of lives touched by Mr. Hooper.
I am out-of-town this week, attending a conference, but if we can be of help or assistance in any way, please do not hestitate to call. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Rick and Vivienne Roberts

Dwight,
Mother and I were very, very saddened to learn of your dad's passing.
He was such a good friend and the kindness, understanding and love he extended to us was always appreciated. I will miss getting a hug from him every time we met, and all the kind words he would express whenever he and your mom attended one of my concerts, special services or just sitting around listening to me playing the organ. Yes, we both shared a love of gospel music. I've lost a wonderful supporter.
Our thoughts are with Miss Ruth, Diane, you and the rest of the family in the days ahead. We can all rely on the promise of the gospel......we will meet again. What a Day That Will Be!
In the love of Christ,
Henry Wilkins

Ruth, Diane, Dwight and Families....Our hearts are so saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Hooper and we want you all to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
We don't think we've ever met a more kinder and gentle person than Mr. Hooper. We'll always remember the good times we had at the Christmas parties and the special times we spent went when we went out to eat. He was the perfect example of what a Christian should be; always caring about other people and putting them first. We always enjoyed being around him.
We saw the love he had for his family and we know it's that love that will see you through the difficult days ahead. Remember; he's just as close as your heart.
Thank you so much for letting us be a part of the "Hooper family" and for the opportunity to get to know this "giant" of a man. He will never be forgotten.
We're here for you if you need us.
God Bless You All,
Jack Presti

Please accept my heartfelt condolonces on the passing of Mr. Hooper. He was a great friend, and a man I, as well as many admired greatly. I was lucky enough to sit down with him and have a cup coffee and chat with him a few days prior to Christmas. We did this quite often, and I always loved the stories he had to tell about the old days in Citrus County, and his life as a funeral director. As always it was an enjoyable conversation. I know he was very active in the community and will be missed by many. I will miss him terribly.

Dwight, Our family was deeply saddened by the news Saturday night. While in church yesterday I had a complete feeling of thankfulness for having got to spend time with your Dad. He was a quality person. I think you know that Judy Ralph is the adoptive mother for all in FFDA and your Dad was our adoptive Dad. He always gave good counsel, and was available for all us members at anytime. He is really responsible or should I say to blame for my involvement in FFDA. Be proud of the life and example he lived for you and your family, and the promise you have to be with him again. Let our family know if there is anything we can do.
Your friend on purpose,
Christa Childs

Dear Dwight and family,
I was saddened to hear of your loss and my condolences go out to you and your family. It takes a special person to ease the pain of so many and he did it so effortlessly. I know his legacy will live on through you. God bless and may he rest in peace.

Dwight and Diane,
I’m sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. He was the first person to offer me a job at a funeral home (even though I didn’t accept), and now that I have been a funeral director for 14 years, I have always had a great amount of respect and admiration for him. May God bless you both.
When things calm down, I hope we can touch base with one another again.
Sincerely,

Dear Ruth, Diane and Dwight,
I was so sorry to hear the news this evening when my mom rang me that Lowell passed at the weekend. How often I’ve made a mental note, next to all the times I’ve thought of Lowell and all of you, to send a note, but never did. Now it’s no longer possible. Please accept my most sincere and loving condolences to all three of you, to your children Diane and Dwight, and to your spouses, and all your family and friends so close to all of you. You all know how much I respected Lowell, how fortunate I have felt over the years to have had him as such a strong figure in my life since walking into your lives in July of 1973. The truth we all know so well is that we never truly realise what we have until we have lost it. Thank God Lowell will live in our hearts for all the days of our lives. He was a better man than most, certainly than I will ever be. God bless you all and embrace you, protect you through the days, weeks and months ahead as you come to terms with his death. I wish I could be there to pay tribute to Lowell on the 16th, to celebrate his life with all of you, however, although not in body, I will be in mind, heart and soul. I am with all of you in my thoughts,
Tommy Hahr

Dear Miss Ruth, Diane and Dwight and families,
It is with great sadness that I hear of Mr. Lowell's passing.
What great childhood memories I have. So many of them involving Diane, your sweet family and the funeral home. I remember fondly Mr. Lowell sitting behind that desk at work. Thank you for sharing your selves with me and others.
I trust that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is and will be your rock at this time. I trust you will feel the love of the community you have served as well.
May God's peace flood you when you need it.
With Love and Prayers,
Melissa (Thompson) and Barry Miller

Mrs. Hooper and Family,
I just would like to say how much Lowell impacted my life as a young boy, my father was the pastor at Hernando Church of the Nazarene in the mid 80’s and I always enjoyed getting to ride in the lead car with Lowell every time we had a funeral. There was even a day that Lowell came to Inverness Middle School for career day with the hearse. I will always treasure those memories of Mr. Hooper. I like to think he is a big factor in why I am in the funeral business today. He was a great man and I am sure that everyone in Citrus County is thankful to your family for sharing him through the years. May the peace that only comes from above comfort you in this time.
I am truly sorry that I will not be able to make the trip for the services.
With Great Respect and Love,
Casey Guyton

Words cannot describe what a beautiful person Lowell was. I remember when my Mother died he was out of town but came home because of her. That is the kind of person he was. When Randall died he was right there and stayed untill every detail was done. Everytime I saw him I got a big hug and always a compliment. He was so compassionate and caring. He will always be remembered with love and will never be forgotten. Ruth children and grandchildren, you will always have your wonderful memories of him. Fondly, Claire Jenkins

I was sorry to hear of the death of Mr. Hooper. In my dealings with him he was always very professional and caring.
The last time I rode with him to the cemetery he asked me about our church electric bill. He wanted to compare it to
the electric bill at his church which he felt was very high. We both agreed it was high in comparison. I don't know
if he was successful in lowering the bill.
He will be missed!
You are in my prayers.

Dear Dwight and the entire Hooper Family:
I want to offer my condolences on the loss of your dad. Lowell was a fine man and a shining example of a true funeral professional. I always enjoyed my conversations with Lowell at FFDA meetings and events and considered him a true friend. Lowell was a good friend and supporter as I began my climb up the FFDA ladder and I will always remember him for that. I also know how very proud he is of Dwight and his entire family.
I apologize that I can not attend the visitation or services as work here prohibits my departure. However, please know that I am keeping all of you in my prayers and please let me know if we can help in any way.
I look forward to many more years of friendship with the Hooper family.
Sincerely,

My sister, Carol Derewenko, told me of the passing of Lowell. I wanted to take this opportunity to acknowledge the kindness and caring of Lowell and the entire Hooper family when my parents Mike and Sue Lichtenberger passed away many years ago. They were not only good neighbors to my parents but at a very difficult time in our families life Lowell was there to help us every step of the way. It is people such as Lowell that one doesn't ever forget. Our sympathies go out to Ruth, Diane, Dwight and their families. Knowing the kind of man that Lowell Hooper was I am sure they have many wonderful memories to help ease their loss.
