Luke Spurgeon Obituary
EUREKA - Luke A. Spurgeon, 16, of Eureka, passed away at 9:50 a.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at his home.
He was born March 18, 1999, in Peoria to Brent Spurgeon and Toni Lewis.
Surviving are his parents, Brent Spurgeon of Eureka and Toni (Scott) Shinn of Eureka; siblings, Brooke Madden, Brian Spurgeon, Lydia Spurgeon and Brandon Shinn, all of Eureka; one niece, Rylee, and one nephew, Chase of Eureka; and grandparents, Larry Spurgeon of Washington and Brenda and Jerry Lewis of Washington.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joyce Spurgeon.
Luke was an incoming sophomore at Eureka High School. He served on Student Council during his freshman year. He was instrumental in the video streaming of high school events through the CUBE. He also participated in wrestling in middle school.
Luke had established his own part-time lawn care business and had just started working at IGA in Eureka.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, June 19, 2015, at Cross Point Community Church in Eureka. Private family services will be held at a later date. Cremation will be accorded. Argo-Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Eureka is assisting the family with arrangements.
Memorials may be made to a memorial fund in Luke's name at Washington State Bank.

We are praying for comfort and peace for the whole family. We are so very sad and in disbelief that Luke is no longer here. There will forever be a missing piece in the bond of friendship for these boys as they experience a world without Luke. Thank you for sharing Luke with us.
