BRISTOL, Va. – The funeral service for Luther Dempster Morgan will be conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, in Akard Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Michael McCloud and Rev. Eric Godfrey officiating, with the eulogy by Sam Brown. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Huggins, Steve Foulk, Richard Bond, Calvin Bentley, Bill Nichols, James Goodman, John Simerly and Don Quesenberry. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry Mann, Henry Sproles Jr., Durward Hill, George Smallwood, Paul Hill, John Barker Jr., James Jett and Herb Keeser. In lieu of flowers, send memorial contributions to Wellmont Hospice House, 280 Steele's Road, Bristol, TN 37620; or North Bristol Baptist Church, Memorial Fund, 46 Church St., Bristol, VA 24201. Luther Dempster Morgan, 87, passed away Friday, Jan. 14, 2005, in the Wellmont Hospice House. Akard Funeral Home, 1912 West State St., Bristol, TN 37620, (423) 989-4800, is serving the family of Mr. Morgan.

Dear Aunt Helen, I am so sorry for your loss and am so sorry that I didn't know. I should've done a better job at staying in touch. Uncle Demp was a special man and touched many lives.
