Lyndsey was the mother of the two most precious children; son Kyle Rawls Thaxton II, age 3, and daughter Hunter Grey Thaxton, age 17 months. She is also survived by her husband, Kyle Rawls Thaxton, of Daniel Island, her parents, Charles and Rhetta Swicord of Sullivan's Island, sisters, Melissa Swicord Daniel and her husband, Jim, of Mt. Pleasant, and Amy Swicord Garfunkel and her husband, Charlie, of Savannah. Also, Mother-in-law, Jessie Jordan Thaxton of Daniel Island, brother-in-law, Jordan A. Thaxton and his wife, Jenny, of Charleston, SC, aunts and uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene F. Oliver of Pinopolis, SC, Dr. and Mrs. John H. Swicord of Pinopolis, SC, and Mr. and Mrs. S. Paul Swicord of Summerville, SC, also 9 nieces and nephews, Grace, Benjamin, Caroline, Will, Chase, Hayes, Whitt, Tucker, and Grace. Charles and Rhetta, Melissa and Amy, Chuck and I were so shocked and saddened when Peggy called us yesterday to inform us of Lyndsey's passing. Unfortunately, we did not have the good fortune to know Lyndsey other than meeting her at Jim's and Melissa's wedding a few years ago. We know what a wonderfully kind and loving person Melissa is, so are not surprised at the wide affection for Lyndsey. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this very sad time as well as with Lyndsey's husband, Kyle, their children, and all of Kyle's family. Know that she is in a truly wonderful place now with our Lord and Saviour.

Charles and Rhetta,

It is with heartfelt sympathy that we lift you in prayer. I know words are overwhelmingly inadequate to express the loss that you are experiencing. Our prayer is that, The God of all Mercy and Peace in due time will bring comfort to your spirit at this great loss.

Charles,

I think I have expressed to you in times past that Lyndsey was the most efficient and polite person that I think I have ever done business with. She had a personal giftedness that only comes from our Creator. She is truly a special person and will be missed by all who know her until we see her again.

Kyle, Charlie and Henrietta, Our thoughts and our prayers are with you all. There are no words that can fill the emptiness in your heart. God has a plan for all of us and when he calls us home we must go. Lyndsey was one of the bright spots in our day when she came to the bank. All of the ladies chatted with her at the drive thru just like they have known her forever. She will be missed daily. We just want the family to know that she touched many lives and we are all better for knowing her. It was amazing the way she could walk into a room and everyone felt at ease with her. She had a beautiful spirit. Love, Ramona, Debbie, Anne, Pamela and Clorette The Ladies at FCB

Our family is shocked and indescribably saddened by Lyndsey's passing. As our neighbor, she was the first person to welcome us to Daniel Island (showing up on my doorstep that day with a huge bin of maternity clothes to lend, and she didn't even yet know my last name-- that's Lyndsey!) and was always so quick to offer her time and extend her friendship. Lyndsey's beautiful and generous spirit will be sorely missed.

We remember when retta brought linsay by our house after her first spend -the-nite party. She was 5 years old. She was so tired she was lying in the backseat.. She was talking about one of her fiends and I quote "you ought to see her thighs". All the kelletts share not only grief but also our wonderful memories of Lindsay.

Henrietta and Charles,

I was so sorry to hear this morning of Lindsey's passing. I know that your grief must seem unsurmountable at this time, but, with God's grace, you will become the memory of Lindsey to her children. I wish there was something I could do to ease your pain, but all I can do is to say you have often been in my thoughts and will even more so now be in my prayers. My love to you both as well as Amy and Melissa. My condolences to her husband, children, and the rest of the family.
