Madeline Schafer Baldwin Obituary

Madeline passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 24, 2018. She was born on Dec. 30, 1955 in Oklahoma City to Harry J., Jr. and Elizabeth Grisso Schafer. Madeline worked at the State Capitol as an Executive Assistant in the State Legislature. Madeline leaves behind 2 loving sons and a daughter; Thomas Henry Baldwin, Jr., and his wife Shannon, their children, Mackenzie and Bentley of Rockwall, TX; Mary Elizabeth Atkinson, her husband Joshua, their children Jack and Knox of Oklahoma City; and Jeremy Dillon and his wife Kelsey of Edmond; brothers Harry J. Schafer, III, Dixon Schafer, sister Suzanna Dean; and many other family and friends who loved her. Madeline attended Nichols Hills Elementary, Heritage Hall, and Stevens College in Colombia, MO. She was honored as a debutant with the Beaux Arts Ball and Bachelors Club of Oklahoma City. Madeline was an active Board Member of the Oklahoma Horticulture Society and a member of the Junior League of Oklahoma City. Gardening was her passion as well as her love for her basset hounds.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 29th at 11:00 am at All Souls Episcopal Church, 6400 N. Penn. Ave. Reception to follow. Charitable donations may be made to Oklahoma Horticulture Society, www.ok-hort.org.
