Madelyn Albertine Nofziger

Blissfield, Michigan

Madelyn A. Nofziger, age 89, of Blissfield, Michigan, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 22, 2017, with her family by her side.

She was born May 30, 1927, in Morenci, Mich., to Rex and Fern (DeLine) Ferris.

On April 13, 1948, she married Donald Lee Nofziger and he preceded her in death June 1993.

Surviving Madelyn are her children, Jo (Allen) Wyse of Little Elm, Texas, Debora (Ron) Troyer of Waterford, Pa., and Allen (Susan) Nofziger of Oakdale, Minn.; a twin sister, Evelyn Rupp of Blissfield, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Luke Wyse, Jesse Wyse, Ellery Troyer, Dallan Troyer, Sarah McNulty, Aaron Troyer and Samuel Nofziger; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee; a son, Rex Lee Nofziger; a brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Winona Ferris; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary and John Warner; and a brother-in-law, C.L. Rupp.

Madelyn was a kind and cheerful lady with an electric smile. She was always serving her Lord, her family, her church, neighbors and friends. She is dearly loved and will be missed deeply by all.

The family would like to thank the staff at Blissfield Place and Hospice of Lenawee for their outstanding care and love for our Mother. You loved her very well.

A family graveside service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Ransom Township, Michigan, and a Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. at Fairlawn Retirement Center, Archbold, Ohio, with a luncheon following at Sauder's Heritage Inn.
