My sincere condolences to Judith, David and Jonathan and your families.
Your Mom/ Grandma was so proud of every one of you! Over time I heard a story about each such that I feel that I know you all even though we have not met!
I felt the love and joy in our conversations and could somehow see the twinkle in her eye! I heard about the boys red hair ( more than once) and how it brought her such happiness to find that special dress for her dear darling daughter! All of the Grandbabies held a most special and unique place in her heart!
Maida was such a blessing in my world. Her many conversations and emails were comforting and nourishing for me.
I loved hearing her voice. I loved her strength, wisdom and compassion and most of all I loved how she took an interest in myself and my own family, sharing family history, asking when birthdays were and wanting updates!
She will be so terribly missed and holds a special place in my heart forever. I feel your sorrow and wished I could ease the pain.
Sending love and light.

Maida was like a mother to me. She called me her son. I got to meet her and her wonderful family the time I went to take care of her husband of blessed memory Robert. We all connected deeply afterwards.
Maida told me a lot of stories about her younger age. She had such a remarkable memory of almost everything. She would tell me stories of what happened so many years back, she would calculate the years right on the fly and the tell me which month and day it happened.
Maida was such a selfless person, she made sure everyone was ok even when she appeared to be stressed or tired. She loved to make me omelets whenever I came around. There was something special about that omelet I will never forget.
I am so lucky to have come across Maida and her family. She loved me and took me as her adopted young son. I will forever cherish that memory and connection. Our family bond will remain unbroken.
Maida, I am so honored to met you. I wish I could be in NY today. However, we will be standing strong for you here in this messed up world. I know you will be smiling in heaven, looking down on us here. I love Maida, Your memory wil continue to be a blessing for us.

I remember how kind Maida was, how warm and welcoming whenever I saw her by Crystal Lake in Newton near her home or at the Cape when we were there with David and Suzanne. I am her daughter-in-law's college roommate, someone you wouldn't think she would remember, but she more than remembered. I always thought to myself that Suzanne was lucky to have Maida as a mother-in-law. She was a lovely woman. I'm so glad I got to know her a bit.

We will never forget our journey from Ukiah, CA to Boston, MA for a sightseeing trip. We made contact with Cousin Maida and Bob and met them for a wonderful dinner and some more sightseeing. We had a blast. RIP dear Maida. Please give my mom, Celia-Ann Toll, hugs at the Pearly Gates. We all love you. Cyndi Toll & Tom Montesonti Ukiah, CA
