As a hospice chaplain, it was clear after my first visit with Maite (and Larry) that she was a person full of creativity, care, and a love of life and family. Typically, it´s my intention to offer care and compassion to my patients and families.... but in Maite´s case, my life was also blessed. Many blessings to Larry and family in the days ahead. -Scott

Maite held my hand in 2nd grade, on a fieldtrip to Knott's Berry Farm... To a dorky, 7 year old boy, "My Life Was Complete."

I am so sorry for your loss! I met Maite while working at the Public Defender and she was working Victim Witness. We became fast friends. Her radiant smile that also eminated in her eyes could bring you out of whatever funk or world you were in! I will always remember that when my nephew was murdered, she and Larissa embraced our family and Larissa did the beautiful program book! We are forever grateful for this and that our paths crossed. I am sending love, condolences, thoughts and prayers. Warm Regards Lawanda Lyons-Pruitt
