To the Nelson Family,
My deepest sympathies to you on your loss. Malcolm was like one of my brothers. He was always at our house growing up and even as an adult we kept in touch. He will be missed! Rest on my brother, until we meet again!

When I got the call about our "L'il Mackey" it put a tear in my eye. I can see Malcolm proudly stepping in Burke's Marching Band as the First Little Drum Major. That will forever be his legacy in our beloved Charleston. You see Malcolm was a " Man Boy" during that era. Therefore, DRUM MAJOR, TAKE YOUR FINAL BOW! All the best to the family.

My condolences to the Nelson family. Malcolm had such poise and swagger at a young age helping to lead a high school band when he was still in elementary school. We'll miss him. God's grace and mercy!
