Loving husband, devoted father and grandfather and kind friend to many.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Malcolm, will be held at St Andrew's Scots Presbyterian Church (corner of Dover Road & Carlisle Street, Rose Bay) on Wednesday, 23 May 2018 at 11.00am. A private cremation will follow the service.

Saddened to have only just learned about the passing of Malcolm Ritchie. In a small but significant way, my love of music was spawned by nights of noodling with Jan and Malcolm's front room piano on those frequent dinner parties.

My memory of Mal is of a larger than life dad and a very good dentist. My son David was at school with his late son, Alistair, who was taken from us at just 18.

Malcolm will leave a vast, energetic, colorful and generous space in the Mosman community. A stout friend and strong fighter for them, and his community in Mosman. You always knew where you stood with Malcolm and, if you did not, he would soon inform you in the most robust and direct manner. Myself and Julian, my wife, will miss him as much as if he were part of our family, a sense that many will share. Glad, so glad, to have known him, let us celebrate the superb and productive life of this loving parent, soldier, physician, patriot and giant of our community. Owen Eather.
