Marcelle Miller Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 10, 2014.
Miller, Marcelle
passed away peacefully on Friday August 29, 2014 at 6:45 pm. She had been visited by her family and close friends from in and out of town prior to her passing. A native New Yorker, Marcelle was truly one of a kind. A beautiful lady always seen in public with her stunning designer outfits, full make up and hair styled perfectly, for all of her 92 plus years. She was up to date on world affairs, the stock market , the arts and jewelry until her final hours. Blessed with the voice of an angel, Marcelle sang professionally as a younger lady and especially loved opera. She also had owned a fashionable ladies boutique on 3rd Ave in New York City, called Stage D'or, where many of the rich and famous shopped. She dabbled in jewelry in later years working as a design sales consultant. While beautiful clothing and beautiful music were most dear to her, her real love was for the animals. She shared her last years with Romeo her beloved cat, a stray she had adopted 7 years prior to passing. Many animals blessed her life and she was committed to helping those she could. Marcelle had a special charm and she was captivating. Those who knew her, found her to be the most interesting and fascinating woman they had ever met. She loved to share her opinions about fashion with anyone she could help to make more beautiful. Marcelle is survived by her daughter, Bari Mears (husband Jerry), her adopted daughter and best friend, Debbie Grand, Grandson Chris Shand (wife Pamela), Grandaughter Carin Wisner (husband David) of Sacramento , Ca and Great grand children Peter and Ava Wisner. Donations can be made to: Phoenix Animal Care Coalition (PACC911) 10645 N. Tatum Blvd, Ste 200-516, Phoenix, AZ 85028
