June 8, 1943 - June 16, 2025

Margaret (Margo) Campbell Blaser passed away on June 16, 2025, in Glendale, Arizona, at the age of 82, after a long journey with Alzheimer's disease.

Margo was born on June 8, 1943, in Nashua, New Hampshire, to Elizabeth Wall Blaser and Walter Francis Blaser II. She graduated from Westwood High School in 1961 and from the University of New Hampshire in 1965, where she was a proud member of Alpha Xi Delta.

She spent most of her life in Wellesley and Boston, Massachusetts, before relocating to Arizona in 2019 to live with family. Margo had a long and distinguished career in public service for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, ultimately serving as Director of the Employment and Training Program. A strong advocate for women's rights and economic opportunity, she was deeply committed to helping women access education, employment, and independence. After retiring, she continued sharing her expertise as a consultant for the Administration for Children and Families.

Margo had a passion for travel, cooking, and reading. She enjoyed sailing, skiing, and golf, and was a devoted Red Sox and Patriots fan. Known for her impeccable fashion sense and eye for detail, she loved entertaining and keeping a beautiful, welcoming home. Christmastime was especially meaningful to her, as she delighted in hosting her cookie swaps and her annual January 6th Little Christmas party.

She also cherished time on Cape Cod and at the family's lake cottage in Westford, Massachusetts, where she found joy in the company of family and friends. She always kept a stack of People magazines nearby and brought a new clipped recipe or craft project to try with the kids when she visited Arizona.

She is survived by her brother, Walter Francis Blaser III (Nancy); her niece, Kimberley Blaser Tanner (Greg); and her great-niece and nephews-Shea Tanner Wallace (Nathan), Shaun Blaser Tanner (Jessika), and Shane Cole Tanner (Bennett)-who brought her immense joy.

Margo was known for her strength, intellect, and generosity of spirit. A loyal friend, she treated those close to her like family, maintaining deep, lasting friendships and remaining closely connected to her cousins, who were more like siblings throughout her life. As one friend said, "Friends are the family you choose for yourself." Margo chose well and was, in turn, a steady and loving presence in the lives of many.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

I had some fabulous times with Margo at her Christmas Party and at the Patriots games. We shared many good laughs. She is in a better place. Hopefully she is sharing some laughs with Connie and Dick.
