Margaret Reid Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 25, 2024.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved Margaret Loya Reid. Margaret, age 96, gracefully departed from this world on September 13th, 2024, in Anaheim Hills, CA. Born on February 11, 1928, in New Jersey, Margaret's life was a testament to love, kindness, and unwavering strength. Margaret attended South River High School and later married the love of her life, William K. Reid, in 1948. She dedicated many years of her life as a secretary before embarking on a new chapter in California. For 37 years, she called Anaheim Hills home, where she found solace in the warmth of the California sun and the company of cherished neighbors.

A social butterfly at heart, Margaret's joy knew no bounds when she was surrounded by friends and family. Even at 96, she found immense pleasure in simple moments, often seen sitting outside, basking in the company of her neighbors. Her love for technology led her to spend countless hours on her computer, particularly enjoying her time on Facebook.

Margaret leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion. She is survived by her loving children, daughter Donna, son William, and his wife Debra. Her memory will also be carried on by her adored grandchildren, Noah and his wife Aiko, Jon-Michael and his wife Laura, Jessica and her husband Rey, Lauren, and Cassandra. Additionally, Margaret is survived by her great-grandchild, Jordyn.

We invite all who knew and loved Margaret to join us in honoring her life. Margaret will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange, California on October 2, 2024, at 10:30 AM. As we bid her farewell, let us cherish the memories she gifted us and find solace in the everlasting love she shared with every one of us. Margaret's spirit will forever live on in our hearts, guiding us with her warmth and love.

We moved into the neighbourhood 3 years ago. We met Marge as the Center of the social group in her garage. She was so vibrant and kind and friendly. She would always remark how beautiful our daughter was and always mention how her mom always said if you say a child is beautiful you have to always say "ptooey" afterwards so as not to jinx or curse them.

She even set out a small folding red chair for Aurora to be her chair when she would visit.

We all loved her very very much. Especially our daughter Aurora. She always wanted to go across the street to visit and say hello and bring flowers and tomatoes and anything else that was growing in our garden.

Our dogs would do the same especially Dublin who passed in April. If the garage was open at Marge´s he would physically drag us over to say hello.

We really really miss Marge and loved her very much. We wish we could´ve had the opportunity to spend more time with her.
