I remember seeing Mrs Moog walk passed my parents house on Robinson Avenue when I lived there - and when I visited. My mom's rocking chair (I believe) was bought for her from the estate sale at my parent's house 3 years ago. I know my mom and Mrs Moog had many years of long chats in front of the house on her walks to/from church.
Keep the many happy memories of times shared together close as you mourn her passing.

The loss of a love one is difficult. May the precious memories you have help you cope and bring you peace. 1 Thes. 4:14 can bring you some comfort knowing that there is a future for the ones we have lost in death can be reassuring. May the God of peace be with you and your family

Mrs. Moog is the Mom of two of my dear lifelong friends, Carol and Emily. The family lived down the street from us, but we first became friends when I was in the 3rd grade (Carol in 1st, and Emily in 5th). Carol and I met walking home from school on a day when Emily was at CCD. As an only child of divorced parents, their family (8 children and 2 parents) was truly an enigma to me. While sharing adventures together, they taught me what it was like to be part of a large, fun, and kind family...and I believe my house provided a bit of a reprieve when they needed to be in a slightly less populated (but likely easily as crazy) space. There was also the bonus of extra Halloween candy at my house (since I usually didn't eat mine, and they had to share with siblings LOL) and a pool to swim in at their house. We've shared many a laugh through the years and fond memories that will last a lifetime. As we've raised out own 3 children, I often think of Mr. and Mrs. Moog and how they managed with 8! During those parenting moments that can drive one to the brink, I try to channel Mrs. Moog's loving patience and humor and hope that our children turn out just like the Moogs.

Mrs. Moog will surely be missed. A wonderful woman who told the best stories, knew how to find humor in every day life, and had a laugh like no other. While I'm truly sad to hear about her passing, it's impossible to not smile when you think of her. I'll miss our New Year's chats and will always hold a special place in my heart for the lady who taught us about Swiss dotted curtains. Much love to the entire Moog family. You are all in our hearts and thoughts. XO Rachel, Rob, Brian, Hayden and Alison Penczak, and Dianna Gabay.

Over the many years we worked together, Chris talked about his mom often. The conversations centered around family get-togethers and outings. It was obvious Marguerite was the core. I'm so very sorry for your loss.
