Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 9, 2003.
Maria Bertha Eiermann, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2003, in Bellaire, Texas. She was born in Edinburgh, Texas, to Josefina and Tito Galvan, on March 13, 1929. After a brief career as a stewardess for Capital Airlines, she met Chester Warren Eiermann in New Orleans and married him in 1953. They raised their family in Corpus Christi where Chet served as treasurer of Marine Drilling Company for many years. A true matriarch, Bertha was a loving mother to her seven children and a devoted abuela to her grandchildren. Family meant everything to her, and she treated everyone like family. A kind, generous, and extraordinary woman, her personality filled the room. Bertha was loved by all who knew her. She left us too soon, but her essence will always be with us in our hearts, minds, and actions. Her husband, Chet, preceded her in death in 1994. She is survived by six daughters, Alicia and her husband, Edward Brantley of Houston; Rachael and her husband Robert P. Jones of San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, Rebecca and her husband Michael Morrison of Santa Barbara, California; Cristina and her husband, David Prichard of Santa Barbara, California; Cecilia and her husband, Cap Haigler of San Diego, California; Serena and her husband, Christopher Rappa of New York, New York; her son Stephan Warren Eiermann and his wife, Susan of Corpus Christi; and all her beloved grandsons and granddaughters. She is also survived by her brother, Sonny Galvan, and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and tias. A memorial mass will be held at Saturday, November 8, 2003, at 10:00am at Holy Ghost Church in Bellaire, Texas, arrangements by Earthman Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, November 10, 2003, at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Donations may be made to the Chester W. Eiermann Scholarship Fund, Incarnate Word Academy, 2910 S.
