Marie E. Fabian of Westmont Memorial services for Marie E. Fabian (nee Para), 90, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Lauterburg & Oehler Funeral Home, 2000 E. Northwest Highway, Arlington Heights. Born Jan. 16, 1912, in Chicago, she died Friday, Oct. 18, 2002, at her home. Interment is private. Mrs. Fabian was a retired pioneer for Illinois Bell Telephone with 50 years of service. She was the loving mother of Robert (JoAnn) Fabian; cherished grandmother of Karen (Gerald) Ilc, Sharon (Philip) Jopa and Robin (Paul) Jopa; and great-grandmother of nine. She was also the dear sister of Ann Brzezinski, Jean Dember, and the late Charlotte Chudy, and Arthur, John, Michael, Frank and Walter Para. Visitation will be from noon until the time of services Saturday, at the funeral home. Friends may visit www.dailyherald.com/obits to express condolences and sign the guest book. Have such beautiful memories of your smiling face. So glad you're in a better place and we will all be together someday. I will always miss you but am so grateful that I had you in my life so long.

Grandma,

I miss you so much. More than words can say. We were so use to always having you around us that it just seemed like you would always be here. I know you aren't suffering anymore and you are in a better place.

I was so lucky to have you as my grandmother. You have set an example for me to follow when I have grandchildren.

I miss you and will always have a special place in my heart for you.

The Memorial Service was beautiful. We enjoyed hearing the family share their wonderful memories of Marie. We will all miss her very much. She will be remembered in our hearts forever.
