Marilyn Flatico Obituary

Marilyn (Tossey) Flatico passed away peacefully on May 8, 2024. Her family and many of her friends were able to visit with her in the days prior to her passing. Those days were filled with reminiscing, storytelling and many laughs. Her phone was constantly ringing with callers checking in on her.

Beloved wife of the late Alfred, mother of Phillip (Lauren), Barbara (Jerry) Bell, and Carole (Anthony) Adipietro; grandmother of Lindsay, Allison, Jacob (Brittany) Rebecca, Ian, Nicholas and Julianne; great grandmother of Christopher. She is preceded in death by her sister Virginia (Frank).

Graduate of West Technical High School, Cleveland, OH; employed as a secretary at Greyhound Lines, Kelly Girls, several law offices, Cadillac Glass Co. and LUMC office. She enjoyed singing in church choirs (Detroit Ave. United Methodist Church and LUMC); 50 plus year member of LUMC; reading, puzzles, board games and gardening. Her ancestry included a link to President John Adams, discovered while doing genealogy with her sister.

Visitation will be held on Saturday June 8th at 10 am followed by her memorial service at 11 am Lakewood United Methodist Church, 15700 Detroit Ave.



In lieu of flowers, Marilyn requested donations be made to LUMC, Shriners Hospital or the American Macular Degeneration Foundation.

Mine was when me and Carol were in the kitchen making uncooked cookies and her mother helped us and her father worked at United Methodist Church at the time as a custodian
