Mrs. Marilyn Perry Taylor O'Day, age 79, of Frankfort, Kentucky, formerly of Madison and Trimble County, entered this life on March 19, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was the loving daughter of the late Leslie Leroy "Bud" and Anna Rose Pyles Perry. She was raised in Trimble County, residing there most of her life. She graduated in 1964 from Trimble County High School. She was blessed to raise one son, Shane Allen Taylor. On July 14, 2001, she was united in marriage to Louis Carroll O'Day at the Milton Baptist Church in Milton, Kentucky. She worked early in life for Reliance Electric in Madison and later for the LaGrange Reformatory in the banking department. She retired after 33 years of service at the Bedford Loan and Deposit Bank in Bedford, Kentucky. She resided in the Lexington, Indiana community for five years and then moved to Frankfort, Kentucky, where she resided the past ten years. She had been a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hanover and most recently the North Frankfort Baptist Church in Frankfort, Kentucky. She loved to exercise, especially swimming and walking. She was a loving mom, devoted sister, aunt and friend. Marilyn died on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 7:32 a.m. at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort, Kentucky.

Marilyn will be missed by her loving sister, Carolyn Stevens and her husband, David of Frankfort, Kentucky; her loving brother, Glenn Delbert Perry of Milton, Kentucky; her sisters-in-law, Thelma Perry of Hanover, Indiana, Janet O'Day Weber and her husband, Walter of Milton, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Leslie Leroy "Bud" Perry, died May 8, 2002, her mother, Anna Rose Pyles Perry, died June 20, 2011, her beloved husband, Louis Carroll O'Day, died November 22, 2006, her beloved son, Shane Allen Taylor, died March 9, 1991, her brothers, Richard Leon Perry, died August 26, 2002 and David Leroy Perry, died February 10, 2025, her sisters-in-law, Virgie Perry, died January 25, 2014 and Brenda Hamilton Perry, died May 13, 2016.

FUNERAL CEREMONY

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 7, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., by Pastor Mike Johnson at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow at a later date in the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford, Kentucky.

Friends may visit Saturday from 11:00 a.m.until the time of service at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Corn Creek Baptist Church or the Jefferson County Animal Shelter. Cards are available at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centres of Madison and Hanover. Online condolences, remembrances, and memorials can be left at www.morgan-nay.com
