Marilyn Pellettieri Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 16, 2025.
Marilyn Pellettieri, 85, passed away on February 5, 2025, in Lake in the Hills, Illinois.

Born on May 3, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, Marilyn lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family and friends. She spent the majority of her career as an Executive Secretary at Benjamin Moore Paint Company, where she was known for her dedication and professionalism.

Marilyn married the love of her life, Joe Pellettieri, and together they shared 66 wonderful years. She always dreamed of being a mother and cherished every moment with her children and grandchildren. Her face would light up whenever she spent time with her great-granddaughter Ivy. Marilyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend-sweet, kind, fun-loving, and adventurous.

She found joy in many activities throughout her life. An avid golfer and bowler, she also enjoyed playing cards and visiting casinos. Traveling brought her happiness, but nothing compared to the time she spent surrounded by family and friends.

Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband Joseph Pellettieri; daughter Kathryn Jones (Jack); son Joe Pellettieri (Karen Drukker); granddaughter Nicole Emmer (Austin); great-granddaughter Ivy; grandson Alex Steele (Meaghan); brother Stanley Mikuta; brother-in-law Nino Pellettieri; sister-in-law Florence Winfield (Dave Erazmus); special cousins Roseann Kay and Len Tulipano (Vicky); as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Stanley Mikuta and Elizabeth Nowak; loving in-laws Dr. Nino and Florence Pellettieri; sisters Joanne Dean (Richard) and Dolores Postawa (Edward); sister-in-law RaOme Mikuta; sister-in-law Georgeanne Pellettieri; special cousin Bill Kay; nephews Brian Dean and Steven Olczak; along with numerous cherished aunts and uncles.

A Funeral Mass will be held on February 21, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntley, Illinois. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM at the church, followed by Mass at 10:00 AM. The church is located at 10307 Dundee Rd., Huntley, IL 60142.

Marilyn's warmth and kindness touched all who knew her. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love.

When we were teens on Leamington Ave., Marilyn would take me to the movies and we would laugh and run down the street like 2 screwballs. This is a memory I will keep forever. Love you Sis.
