I will miss the chats we would have while enjoying the delicious wings at Harmony Creek golf course. I always looked forward to seeing Mario after the first 9 holes of golf, Whenever I would ask if he was around, I was so lucky that he was. he was such a wonderful gentleman, kind, friendly and so very sociable. My sincere and deepest and heart felt condolences to his family.

I had the privilege of getting to know Mario through our working relationship while l was employed in the Clarington Planning Department. Mario was a very respected business man. I enjoyed and appreciated our many dealings, knowing Mario always had the best interests of the Municipality at heart. I only heard about Mario's passing today, May 30th, and wanted to pass along my condolences to Mario's family. He will be greatly missed.

Mario was a wonderful cheerful man. The first person I meet when V&G Trust, my employer was his finance source, moved me to Bowmanville in 1977. Loved his joy of life, taught me a lot about the business. Always a learning fun encounter. Always had a big infectious smile. Condolences to his wife and children.

We were very saddened to hear of the passing of Mario. Working for one of the lawyers Mario retained, he convinced us to purchase one his homes in 1981 and thereafter we purchased 3 more Veltri homes. He was not only a great businessman but a wonderful friend who will be missed. He left an indelible footprint on this earth and a legacy that will certainly live on. Most of us can only hope to achieve what Mario achieved in his life. Our most sincere condolences to the family. May his memory be a blessing. Bob, Judy, Bryan and Mark Beitle

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always. I first met Mario in the late 1960's in Oshawa at my office. He was driving a truck with a wheel barrow and a shovel in the back. We
have been close friends ever since. We send sincerest condolences to his dear wife & family and thank God for the memories.

My deepest and sincere condolences to the Veltri Family.” Anna, Frank, Fay, Nina, Gino, Lisa, all the grandchildren and the great grandchild”.
I first met Mario in 1985. Relatively new to Real Estate I began selling Veltri homes and I remained working for Mario for the next seven years. During that period I learned a so much from him about New Home construction. Mario had such passion for his homes and the people that bought them.
I returned to Veltri homes and Mario in 1998. I remained for 10 years and along with Ev Dehart helped Mario make many more neighbourhoods. Two in Oshawa and several in Bowmanville.
I always felt proud to sell a Veltri built home, buyers were excited, the home always closed on time and Mario would always follow with his buyers to make sure they were happy with the home.
During my ten years with Mario he hired my son AJ on his return home from University in the USA for summer work on his Golf Course. On one occasion when someone had not shown up at the construction site Mario took AJ out to the site to fill in. AJ told me they had a few laughs together on the drive out and back.
Mario, I feel I am indeed fortunate to have had the opportunity to share some time with you and your family on your Life Journey.
Rest In Peace Mario.

Our sincere condolences to the Veltri Family. Mario was a wonderful man, who carried about people. He built one of our homes, seeing there was no sidewalk or patio or grass, Mario took it upon himself and had this work done. He had a big heart and was a true family man.
Sincerely....Peter and Cathie Wraight

In June of 1995, I met Mario Veltri for the first time. I was Mario’s banker, but we very quickly became the best of friends. I enjoyed meeting Mario and his brother-in-law, Matteo, regularly at the club. Anna and my wife Nancy became good friends at the same time. Nancy and I came to know Anna, Frank, Fay, Nina, Gino, Lisa & all the beautiful grandchildren over the ensuing years and we felt like part of the family, attending weddings, christenings, Christmas parties, etc.
After I retired, Mario and I would meet at the club for our morning coffee and then make the daily rounds together at the job site, the office, the apartment buildings, etc. When my beautiful wife Nancy passed away in 2014, Mario stood beside me and helped me through the most difficult time of my life. When he knew I was down, he would pick me up. He was more than a friend, he was my brother.
Mario encouraged me to find love again and as only Mario could do, he insisted that I find “a nice Italian girl”. I was thrilled to inform Mario and Anna that in December of 2018, I found my nice Italian girl, Maria Grazia Vitale, while she was on vacation in Canada, visiting her brother Leonardo in Toronto. On Mario’s urging I pursued Maria Grazia and visited her and her mother, Agata, in Catania twice, for a month at a time in 2019. They returned to Canada in February of 2020 and we had lunch with Mario and Anna, shortly after her arrival. It was following this luncheon that Mario told me in no uncertain terms: “Don’t let her get away Pat! She’s the woman for you.” Maria Grazia and I were wed on November 21, 2020 and I kept my promise to Mario.
To Anna, Frank, Fay, Nina, Gino, Lisa & all the beautiful grandchildren, I extend my sincere sympathy and that of Maria Grazia and her mother at the loss of this wonderful husband, father and grandfather. I will miss you my dearest friend and my brother. I love you Mario. May you rest in peace in the arms of God and your family members who have gone before.

I have a lot of good memories of Mario Veltri, having worked for him for 8 years. How he called me Angelita and sang songs to make me smile and how he’d check on me in the kiosk when I was working evenings because he knew my mom worried about me. I wish I could have said hi one more time. My deepest condolences to the family. I wish you all strength and love during this difficult time.
