From the time I first met Mark in Los Angeles he always impressed me as a wonderful husband and father (at the time with just two toddlers). From all those who have known him in the years since, it's clear that he became even more of what he always was, a source of love and warmth ;and I know this is a painful loss for his family. my deepest condolences.

Mark and I were close friends during our UCLA undergraduate years. I always enjoyed his infectious laugh and sense of humor. He was a good man then, and from what I have read of his loving family and friends, he clearly was a good man until the very end.

Mark, you were always so good with words and as I sit here trying to think of how to put into words the loss that we feel to know you are gone just don't seem to come to mind easy. My heart goes out to your family and know that you will be missed by your family of MSA friends.

To the family of Mark Freifeld,
I wish to extend my deepest sympathy and condolence to your family at this sad time. May the God of the Holy Writings comfort you all as you grieve the loss of a "courageous man." I work with Jeremy at UNC (OUC). If Mr. Freifeld is anything like his son Jeremy,"I know that he was a great guy and will sorely be missed!!" Again, my prayers are with you.
