Mark Scott Richert, aged 72, of Peoria, AZ, passed away on April 19, 2024. Born on February 9, 1952, in New Glarus, WI, Mark was a spirited individual known for his remarkable athleticism and deep enthusiasm for cars.

Mark's educational journey began at New Glarus Elementary and progressed through New Glarus High School. He furthered his education at Whitewater University, which laid the foundation for his lifelong career in the automotive industry. His career commenced in his hometown, working at Richert Chevrolet, a business owned by his father. He later relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, where he excelled as an Automotive Service Advisor, always ensuring fair and honest treatment for his customers. After retiring, Mark found a new passion in trading stocks on the stock exchange.

Beyond his professional life, Mark was a fervent sports fan, particularly of the Phoenix Cardinals and the Phoenix Suns. His love for the Corvette never waned; he spent countless hours online searching for the perfect model to add to his collection.

Mark leaves behind his children, Shelby and Shannon, and his grandchildren, Ryan, Jon, Faith, and Ellie. He is also survived by his sibling, David, and his ex-wife and friend, Valarie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Phyllis.

A celebration of life will be held in Sauk City, WI, at the end of September. For those interested in attending and celebrating Mark's remarkable life, please reach out for further details.

Mark's arrangements are being handled by Best Funeral Home in Peoria, AZ. His legacy of humor, integrity, and passion will be remembered by all who knew him.

Uncle Mark, my heart has a huge part missing now that you are gone. The amount of love and respect I have for you is second to none. You were my "cool" uncle and always had a soft spot for me. I love and miss you more than words can explain. I have nothing but great memories and laughter from my time with you! Thank you for always treating me with nothing but love, kindness and respect. I will always make sure that if Shannon, Shelby or Val ever need anything, I will be there. Please give grandma and grandpa all my best, and all my love, please rest easy. I´m so proud to be a Richert, I love you with my whole heart

I thoroughly enjoyed having bagels with Mark and his granddaughter Ellie Rae, and our many discussions on life, sports, corvettes (also other cars) and other important things.
