Mark Thomas Somers

Mark Thomas Somers, 66, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away peacefully on December 23, with his loving wife, Linda, by his side.

Mark was born on August 3, 1956 in Milwaukee, WI to Frank & Beverly Somers. After graduating high school, he entered the U.S. Air Force and was extremely proud to serve the country that he loved (1979-81). During this time, Mark was also blessed with two children, Kirk ('79) and Kenny ('81).

Mark met Linda in 1988, and they wed in Fond du Lac, WI in 1991. He cherished their relationship; their faithfulness, sacrificial love and joy for each other only grew stronger with each day of their 31-year marriage.

Mark and Linda moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1994, where they built a mountain-side ranch home and enjoyed life together. Mark was a hardworking man and owned/ran a pool repair business for many years. Mark was also a family man - he was a dedicated and loving father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed traveling the world with loved ones, near and far, including cross-country road-trips on his Harley Davidson motorcycle with Linda - one of his true passions.

Throughout his life, Mark held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him. He will be dearly missed and always remembered.

Mark joins his parents; his niece, Brandy Kratz-Behling; and two great-nephews, Jason Morris and Arnaldo Rivera, Jr. (DJ) in Heaven. He is survived by his wife; his brother, John (Jenny) Somers; his sisters, Linda (Jim Foster) Somers, Chris (Rick) Tischaefer and Laura (Dan) Beres; his five sons, Kirk Somers, Kenny (Dayna) Somers, Mike (Kelly) Sauerbrei, David Sauerbrei and James (Kristen) Sauerbrei, Jr.; and his twelve grandchildren, Jarrod, Phoenix, Athan, Zane, Ava, Ayden, Asher, Emma, Lakyn, Layla, Nina and Gabriella.

Mark requested that a celebration of life / graduation party be held in his honor as opposed to traditional funeral services. We invite all of Mark's loved ones to join us in celebrating his beautiful life at one of the following services.

Arizona - January 28th at 11:00 am - Pure Heart Christian Church (14240 N. 43rd Ave., Glendale)

Wisconsin - February 18th at 11:00 am - Fond du Lac Fraternal Order of Eagles (515 N. Park Ave., Fond du Lac)
