Mark A. VanDyke, 50, of Chatham, died at 1:56 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2005 at St. John’s Hospital. Mark was born September 14, 1955 in Key West, FL the son of Wilburn Eugene and Mary R. Myers VanDyke. Mr. VanDyke was self-employed as a financial planner. He was a former Grandmaster for Masonic Lodge #635 in Rochester. He was preceded in death by grandfather: Harold Myers. He is survived by his parents of Virginia Beach, VA; fiancé: Robin Favre of Chatham; two sons: Ian (wife, Christine) VanDyke of Virginia Beach, VA and Chase A. VanDyke of Chesapeake, VA; one daughter: Nichole R. VanDyke of Chesapeake, VA; three grandchildren: Riley E., Kaitlyn N. and Hunter Chase VanDyke all of Virginia Beach, VA; two brothers: Michael T. (wife, Natalie) VanDyke of Winter Garden, FL and Keith L. (wife, Toni) VanDyke of Virginia Beach, VA; grandmother: Mary Myers of Springfield and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Cremation accorded by the Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield. Celebration of life to be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Illinois, 3000 Kelly Ln., Springfield, IL 62707. The family of Mark A. VanDyke is being served by Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Tribute Center, 900 S. 6th St. Springfield.

Mark you are my oldest grandson, I have known you for 50 yrs. and you are as precious to me now as you were when you were born. It was my good fortune to have you as my grandson. Now you are with Jesus and he loves you even more if thats possible. Love you always Grandma Myers.
