Marty was a gift to all of us, and for me an all-too-brief gift, on this earth. But I'm so very grateful to know for sure that Martha Grace Baumgaertel will be around the Throne with me, worshipping our Lord together, every day until I'm there with her in person again. She loves my Jesus, and held on to His Word in faith while she was here with us. And she was willing to suffer with Christ, so that she would now be glorified with Him, her Lord. A lovely example for me, and for all of us in His Family. And for everyone we hope and pray will one day soon humbly join His Family in the Throneroom, to share his never-ending Joy. Thank you Father, for every good and delightful gift you give us, including sweet Marty.

I too met Marty through the W/W group. We attended quite a few of the same parties and over the years became very good friends. She was my "go to" friend. Always there to lend an ear when I was feeling down. I last spoke to her on New Years Eve wishing each other a wonderful year. I will always remember her as being a wonderful thoughtful person and friend. My heart goes out to her family. With my deepest sympathy to all of you. Rest in peace Marty.

It is with a heavy heart and deepest sympathy that I am writing to the Baumgartel Family. I have had the pleasure of being fortunate enough to have been friends with Marty and having great memories of good times we shared during our times together with the Widow and Widowers Grief Support Group and our local gatherings. Marty's contagious smile was infectious and she was just a very special person. I am blessed to have known her and I will miss her very much. Marty will always have a special place in my heart.

I first met Marty in Plymouth at a W/W gathering and we soon became good friends. We discovered we had a lot of the same interest, especially our love for gardening, biking and traveling. We were to meet in FL this Feb for some fun and adventure and we couldn't wait to get our trip started. Marty's positive and compassionate outlook on life make her a person to be admired and loved. It was a priviage and an honor to call her Friend. My sincerest condolences to her family.

To my extended family,
The world lost an amazing person on January 7th, 2010. She brightened the room whenever she walked into it. I will miss her laughter. Her desire to help others, she was as caring and giving as a person could be. Andy loved staying with her in the summertime as she loved having someone there to take care of. Marty we love and miss you!
