Martha Cureton Obituary

Cureton, Martha Haun, 91 died Sunday at Johnson City Medical Center. She was the last of her generation of siblings, having been preceded in death by her sisters Mary Haun Allison, Berline Haun Cureton and brother Milton H. Haun II. Also preceded in death by her husband William McQueen Cureton, mother Lillian Self Haun, and father Milton Homer Haun. She is survived by son James (Jimmy) Cureton of Irving TX, daughters Wilma Cureton Tindell, of Knoxville, TN, and Janice Cureton Cording, of Kingsport, TN. Also surviving are grandchildren Cinnamon Cureton Frame Wood and Travis Cureton of NC, Paige Cureton, of Seattle, WA, Jennifer Michelle Barham, of Kingsport, TN., and great grandchildren Dillon Frame, Skye Frame, and Kahla Cureton. She is survived also by niece Sally Cureton Alspaugh of Lexington, Kentucky, Milton Homer Haun III of Greeneville, South Carolina, Mary Glenn Allison Prater of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Lillian Haun Ruth of York, South Carolina. The family and friends will meet 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at Greenwood Cemetery for a graveside service and interment at 10:00 a.m. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Kirk Hills Presbyterian Church with Rev. Robert Davis officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. Stevens Mortuary, Oglewood Avenue at North Broadway is serving the family of Mrs. Cureton.

I was so sorry to hear of Martha's passing. I did her hair when she was at the Village and always found her to be a very sweet and very classy lady. She will be greatly missed.
