Marty Butler

Marty Butler Marty Butler, 59, of Paso Robles, California, passed away suddenly on August 22, 2015. Marty was born in Washington, D.C., and grew up in Paradise Valley, Arizona. He graduated from Arcadia High School in Phoenix and attended the University of Arizona, where he was a member of the Sigma Nu Fraternity. Marty established a successful commercial real estate business in Scottsdale before moving with his family to Paso Robles in 2000, where he owned and operated a vineyard with his wife, Elise. Marty was a licensed pilot and loved to fly. A talented golfer with a scratch handicap, Marty played on his high school and college golf teams and won the Phoenix Open Pro-Am long-drive contest. He also played a great game of Backgammon. He was happiest when cooking for a houseful of friends and family, celebrating holidays and life. He loved cruises and traveling the world, and sharing good times with family and friends. Marty was a wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend, and will be truly missed. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 30 years, Elise; his children, Corinne, Alyssa (Emery), Tegnear (Mary) and Morgan; five grandchildren; parents, Jeannie Collins and Herschel Collins; mother-in-law, Margaret Burrell Hall; and sisters, Sarah and Cindy. At Marty's request, no memorial service is planned. We will always remember his big smile, selfless nature, kind heart and sense of humor.
