Mary Austin Obituary
Vermontville - Passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with ALS at the age of 61. Mary was born on April 5, 1959 in Lansing MI the daughter of Kennerd Dean and Marilyn Ann (Murphy) Clark. She retired from Bank of America in 2005 after 11 years of service. Mary enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and canoeing. She was an excellent cook and loved to BBQ and smoke meat on the grill.
Mary is survived by her husband, Clinton Allen Austin of Vermontville; four children, Nate (Stacey) Austin of Sunfield, Nick (Becky) Austin of Vermontville, Bill (Crystal) Austin of Charlotte, and Kelly Austin of Charlotte; 20 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; uncle, Leon Murphy of Traverse City. She was preceded in death by parents.
1st Annual BBQ and Poker Tournament will be held in the spring. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Elara Caring, 900 Cooper St, Jackson, MI 49202 in memory of Mary Jo Austin. To place online condolences or memories please visit, www.millsfuneral.com.

I had the pleasure of working with Mary at Bank of America. She became my friend. I will always remember her smile and her most contagious laugh. She will be missed greatly. Prayers to her family.
